The lid fits my 15" oval pan perfectly and the steam circulates evenly, so my vegetables came out tender without going mushy. Cook time really does feel shorter too, maybe a few minutes saved on a full pan.
Steamed broccoli and salmon in this thing and they came out perfectly tender, no soggy mush. The up-to-20%-faster cooking is real, I've shaved minutes off dinner easily.
The lid clicks on my 15" oval pan snugly with no wobble, and dinner came out noticeably quicker than my usual stovetop method. Veggies kept their bite and the salmon stayed moist, so it's earned a permanent spot in the cabinet.
